The Job of Teacher also Depends on Money
...
Class management also dependent of money. The mother of new student came to me and requested that, "Please let my child be the class monitor." It would be free for you, whenever you come to dine in my shop. She even gave me gift vouchers. In the admission for university, it is of advantage if you were the class monitor.
Due to the One-Child Policy and hiring slump, the academic credentialism worsen, and parents have to work hard on that. Demands such as "Please place my child at the front most lines", "Please pay more attention to my child" are brought in by the parents, while at the same time, gifts are stuffed in. The amount hikes when it gets closer to the university admission.
Zhang places the students, whose parents gave him gifts at the front rows, and teach them with extra care. On the other hand, the other students are neglected. He has condemned his integrity. However, when he sought advice from his friend, also a teacher, the reply was, "Everyone is doing. Finally you have grown up."

I am grateful that I did not grow up in that environment. I hope that it is just an exception case which was exaggerated by the newspaper.
I am grateful that I taught my students in the right way, when I was a temporary teacher.
