Post-Ibam Japonais Syndrome

My Post-Coming-To-Japan Syndrome

1 dream in Japanese
2 writing dates in YYYY.MM.DD
3 always type F10 to convert my numbers to half-width alphabet
4 start to fill in words using Japanese instead of other languages
5 write number '7' with a stroke in front of the first stroke we use to write for our normal '7'
6 Japanese words flashes in my mind first before other words come into my mind
7 answer my year of birth as 昭和 instead of Gregorian year
8 anticipating chocolate for Valentine's Day
9 wearing new clothes on Gregorian new year instead of Chinese New Year
10 bow to people instead of shaking hand when meeting new people
11 not saying 'excuse me' when I sneeze
12 answer そんなことはない when being praised by others
13 my English is deteriorating
14 can't properly pronounce L and R
15 evaluate price in Yen instead of RM
16 get irritated when the parcels are not coming on time. Start to call the person-in-charge 10 minutes after the designated delivery time. One hour later starts to write complain letter to the headquarters.
17 get irritated when the bus/train is late even 1 minute
18 start making a long list for transport change and others before travelling outside
19 start to use English as the following priority: American English, Japanese English and British English
20 start to say things in "In Malaysia, we USED TO"
21 will start stuffing rubbish into my bag instead of looking for rubbish bin when I am outside
22 start to buy drinks from vending machine instead of bringing tonnes of water
23 always check the weather forecast before going out
24 there is always 2 umbrellas in my room
25 start to put wallet on top of table while dining out, even using it as a 'booking tool' for seats
26 start to think that it is norm to have free clean toilets instead of paid dirty toilets
27 start to miss the warm Malaysian weather instead of cursing the sun
